Debbie Hollick began her career as a Baltimore City School teacher - joining Teach For America as a 2003 corps member. She taught English literature over many years to all grades, 6 - 12. After completing a Master of Arts in Teaching, Debbie began working as a support to other first and second year teachers, serving as a classroom management specialist, instructional support teacher, and curriculum specialist. In 2009 she was given the opportunity to return to Teach For America's Philadelphia institute as a Curriculum Specialist, teaching incoming corps members for the summer before their first year as teachers.
In 2011, Debbie joined the faculty of the Department of Teacher Preparation as a Faculty Associate, teaching in the Master of Science in Education program. In January of 2012, Debbie became the Director of Teacher Development Partnerships, heading up the reenvisioning of the Teach For America partnership and training.
