Team Learning Strategies

When structuring the Learning Together stage, it is important to ensure that the learning activity fosters team interaction. Assigning specific responsibilities to team members using roles or numbered heads, requiring team members to complete individual contribution forms, and requesting that one team document, rather than individual assignments be handed in, are all approaches that encourage teamwork. The purpose of the Individual Contribution form is to promote reflection of participation in team activities; individual students evaluate the percentage of effort that each team member contributed to the team activity.
