The School Leadership Team

The school principal should assemble a school-based leadership team who will be responsible for examining reports and making instructional decisions for students based on the data. Potential members of this team include: principal, assistant principal, testing coordinator, special education chairperson, reading specialist, math specialist, school counselor, psychologist, ELL teacher, and special and general educators. Depending on the school organizational structure, there may be alternative names for this decision-making team such as School Improvement Team (SIT) or School-Based Decision Making Team (SBDMT).
