The Maryland Online IEP System is a robust tool that includes Student Compass as the information hub behind the Maryland IEP.

Through Student Compass, users can access reports, meetings, and progress monitoring tools for an entire caseload or specific school. Progress monitoring displays the total number of goals by category, area, and progress code. This gives the user a view of the IEP goal "landscape" and helps educators target resources and instruction.

At the student level, Student Compass provides notification of upcoming events (meetings, IEP reviews, reevaluations), and allows users to schedule meetings, complete forms and service logs, and view progress on IEP goals. At this level, progress monitoring provides a visual display of progress on IEP goals, the last progress code, and date of entry. This is a great snapshot to share with a student and family.

This website was designed as an instructional series for educators in Maryland to learn about navigating the Maryland Online IEP System, its components, and ways to make the most of this powerful tool.
