Online Learning Event (OLE) Data Analytics
Welcome to the Data Analytics PD Activity for the MD Online IEP System!
During this PD Quest, you will gain an overview and understanding of how to use the Data Analytics feature.
As educators, we collect data every day. We take attendance; suspension records in and
out of school; MSA, ALT MSA, and HSA scores; students’ status; demographic information;
placement data; and special considerations. By using the Data Analytics Tool, this data
can be displayed in a graph format after choosing the main data point, then you can
further narrow down your search with a filter and a split. Filters are based on information
in active IEP. They can be Grade, Gender, Race, Disability (Primary Disability from the
Eligibility page in the IEP), Goal Category, Goal Area, ESY, FBA or BIP Special
Considerations (AT, Communications, Blind, Deaf, LEP), and LRE. Then this filtered data
can be split by the same categories into more detailed information.
After going through these 4 steps in Data Analytics, the graph will display exactly the information you need to see, analyze, and share with others.
