Special Education Placement - Preschool
For Preschool-aged children, a time in General Education does not need to be calculated. A Special Education Placement does need to be selected.
1. Select the correct placement on the Special Education Placement drop-down list.
If the special education placement is: ATTENDING A REGULAR EC PROGRAM AT LEAST 10 HR/WK MAJORITY SERV IN EC SETTING or ATTENDING A REGULAR EC PROGRAM < 10 HR/WK MAJORITY SERV IN EC SETTING,
then the environment the child is receiving the majority of special education services is to be selected. This information does not print on the IEP form.
If the special education placement is the ATTENDING A REGULAT EC PROGRAM, 10 HR/WK MAJORITY SERV IN OTHER LOCATION or ATTENDING A REGULAT EC PROGRAM AT LEAST 10 HR/WK MAJORITY SERV IN OTHER LOCATION, then the other location is to be identified. This information does not print on the IEP form.
All other LRE codes selected do not have the option to select or identify the early childhood environment or other location.
2. Complete the rest of the LRE form.
3. Click the Save button.
