Required Readings

This chapter briefly acquaints you with the instruments and procedures used in career and employment counseling. It reveals the many varied aspects of our client’s lives that are use in assessing for careers. Areas that counselors want to be specifically aware of include interests, skills, values, personality, and needs – although there are others that will come to mind as you read and study this chapter. Be sure to review the objectives for the course as you work through the textbook to be sure that you are retaining what you need to be.
