Assessing Achievement through the WRAT 4 and Grades - Maria (Whole Group)
Introduction:
The WRAT 4 is an individual achievement test that is often used as a screener to see if further or more comprehensive testing is needed. Remember that this assessment is not intended to diagnose or identify learning disorders or cognitive disorders – it is simply to determine if further testing is needed. In this situation, Maria, a 10th grade student has problematic behaviors in the classroom. She is given the WRAT4 to screen her academic achievement to see if further testing is needed. You will interpret her scores to see if she requires more assessment for her academics. You are also asked about other information that might be helpful. This is time to remember that a comprehensive evaluation is necessary for a full picture of a client’s needs in order to appropriately assess the individual.

Assignment: Weekly Quizzes (Individual)
Introduction:
There is a quiz each week that is taken directly from the textbook, and covers items you will need to know to prepare you for the NCE exam. The quiz contains all multiple choice questions, and they come directly from the text. These are open book, open note quizzes, and they must be completed by the end of each week.
Each quiz will reset on Sunday, for anyone who needs to retake it. You may retake it for more new questions, or you may retake it to increase your grade. In either case, when there are two grades, the highest grade will be used for your final grade. If there is one grade, that will be used. Taking it twice cannot harm your grade. Correct answers are posted after the quiz is no longer available for a grade; which is two weeks following the week it was made available.
