The Preschool through Kindergarten LRE/NE Team Decision Making Module is an online tool that highlights and supports best practice.

This module will guide effective decision making by IEP and Extended IFSP teams in selecting the least restrictive environment (LRE) or natural environments (NE) for children with disabilities, 3 years old through Kindergarten.

The LRE/NE provides the foundation for an inclusive early childhood education for children in Maryland.

An inclusive education:

• Supports the participation of children of all ability levels in a variety of early childhood settings with appropriate accommodations and modifications;
