About the Faculty Resource Center
Welcome to the online Faculty Resource Center. This Resource Center includes a variety of resources, tutorials, and guides for School of Education faculty teaching online courses. The Resource Center includes both technology and pedagogical resources related to online teaching and learning.
The Resource Center is organized by Modules, located on the left-side navigation. Each module is briefly described below.

Online Learning- Includes articles and general information about online learning.

Course Structure and Organization- Provides some general information about navigation options, as well as basic course structure.

Managing Your Course- Focuses primarily on pedagogical resources to support online course delivery. It includes but it is not limited to teaming strategies, community building activities, strategies for providing feedback, and establishing and maintaining presence in your online course.

Meaningful Learning Using Technology- Provides an overview of various non-ELC tools online faculty can use an integrate into their courses, including Web 2.0 tools, Adobe Connect for synchronous sessions, and other innovative technology resources. This module also Includes examples of how to use various non-ELC technologies, as well as helpful tips for how to integrate them into your course.
- Library Resources- Provides information on how to use Sheridan Libraries and its resources.
Building on your style of teaching and understanding of effective teaching practice, this Resource Center provides online instructors with strategies to build a sense of community and support effective collaboration among participants in your online or blended course. There are resources that will also help you with facilitating online activities to promote active learning, critical thinking, and knowledge construction.
