In the first part of I-Learn, you will examine the Discovery Guide. It was designed to help the Coach structure conversation with wtih teacher so they can work together to discover the learning landscape, ascertain the "big picture" of teaching practices, and determine a primary teaching or learning challenge. A series of clarifying questions are embedded within this template to guide coaches as they seek to 1) understand the context in which the teacher is delivering curriculum, instruction, and assessment; 2) gather relevant data related to demographics and student progress; and identify a teaching practice to be learned or problem to be addressed.
