Engaging Families in the COS Process Video

The Engaging Families in the COS Process video was created to help early intervention service providers develop a deeper understanding of the importance of the following in relation to the integrated COS/IFSP process:

• Eliciting functional information from families;
• The unique contributions of each IFSP team member;
• Anchoring discussions of children’s strengths and needs in age-expected development; and
• Collaborative decision-making on the COS ratings.

In addition, a viewing guide has been developed to help early interventionists make the best use of the video through reflection and discussion.
