Student Compass/ClassView
This OLE will introduce you to the Student Compass/ClassView tool and its accompanying Instructional Strategies Bank. This OLE focuses on selecting and tracking appropriate instructional materials and techniques to meet the needs in your classroom. The Student Compass/ClassView and Instructional Strategies Bank will help identify specific tools and techniques to help all students learn. This planning tool also ensures that students with disabilities are provided appropriate accommodations to meet their IEP goals.
The competency you will meet is:
- Competency VIII: Use the Student Compass/ClassView to organize and monitor accommodations, modifications, and specialized instruction/behavioral strategies to support students with special needs.
The specific objectives for this OLE are:
- S1.1 Recognize differences between accommodations and modifications.
- S1.2 Demonstrate use of the Student Compass/ClassView.
- S1.3 Apply tools and techniques in the Instructional Strategies Bank when planning lessons.
