Works just like Google but searches scholarly material, journal papers, conference papers, technical reports and more. Google Scholar is a good way to get started finding articles by topic and use it to quickly search the availability of any specific article you may be seeking.
Because Google Scholar searches scholarly content, you can use it to supplement your searches in the JHU library databases. Before using Google Scholar, first configure it to work with the JHU databases. Once you configured, you will be able to easily follow the FindIT@JHU links to determine if you have access to the full text of any of the articles discovered in Google Scholar.

- Go to Scholar.Google.com
- Click Settings
- Choose Library Links from the left hand menu
- In the search box type "Johns Hopkins"
- Click the checkbox beside Johns Hopkins
- Click Save
- Return to the Google Scholar search box and search for the title of the article
- You'll see a "FindIt @ JHU FullText" link either on the right hand side of the result or under the "more" option below the search result.
- Click on FindIt to locate the result in JHU's databases.
