Just For Me

After completing the Presentation section for the PD Activity in Student Compass, you should have a full understanding of the functionality and be able to describe the benefits for each of these sections in Student Compass:

  • Students
  • Progress
  • Meetings
  • Reports
  • Administration

TRUE/FALSE:  Read these questions below.  Think about how you would answer each one.  If necessary, refer to the Presentation Section for more information.

  1. Student Progress Monitoring – remains at the Student level only for aggregating data across varying demographics/populations.
  2. Progress - displays all meetings for the user’s caseload.
  3. A quick way to discern as to whether you are viewing information at the student level in Student Compass is to note the second band of buttons, in blue, labeled: Notifications, Monitoring, Profile, IEP Summary, Meetings, and Forms.
  4. If you are at the caseload level in Student Compass, the left panel will always display the user’s information and aggregate data from the MSDE website.
  5. You can access the IEP module by clicking the IEPs button underneath a student’s name on the Caseload tab.
