Did you notice that many of the items on the Tech Savvy Teaching Quiz (on the Getting Started page) focused on connectivity? Chances are you connect daily, perhaps hourly, with friends and family through social networks, such as Facebook, Twitter, or Ning. But how often do you connect with other educators through professional networks and tools? Participating in professional networks can help you to solve problems, gain new ideas, and collaborate on authentic projects that connect your students with experts and peers around the globe.

This week you will learn about personal learning networks (PLNs) and explore networking tools specifically designed for educators. You will begin building your own PLN and practice using networking tools to increase your comfort level with them and to help you discover how increasing your connectivity with other educators can positively impact your students.

Please proceed to the Technology Resources for this week.
