Work with your co-teacher(s) to review a sample TEAMS Meeting Protocol. Then, conduct your own TEAMS Meeting as a co-teaching team. Before you begin, reflect with your co-teacher(s) on:

  • How often and when does your team evaluate your level of performance?
  • What steps can you take and commitments can you make today to ensure that your co-teaching continues to improve over the last few months of school?

Directions:
1) Open the sample TEAMS Meeting Protocol completed by the co-teaching team of Webb & Adams.

2) Review the sample protocol and notice:

  • The team's performance ratings in TRANSLATE MISSION INTO ACTION and ENGAGE ALL LEARNERS

  • The New Performance Targets set for students under ASSESS STUDENT PROGRESS FREQUENTLY

  • The targeted areas of improvement under MAXIMIZE MOMENTUM and SYNERGIZE

3) After discussing the sample, download a TEAMS Meeting Protocol template. Remember to save the template to your computer and rename the file to include your team's name (ex. TEAMS Protocol_TeamCTE).

4)Collaborate as a co-teaching team to conduct a TEAMS Meeting. Use the directions in each section to complete the template.

  • Complete Part 1: Review Co-Teaching Performance
  • Examine information on the Snapshot Data Tool and complete Part 2: Assess Student Progress Frequently
  • Conclude your TEAMS Meeting by completing Part 3: Target Co-Teaching Improvement. Be sure to note your individual goals/commitments for the last quarter of school in the Synergy section. You will post these goals/commitments in the Just for Me activity that follows.
