Learning Together

The following activity provides practice in using the Snapshot Data Tool for monitoring student progress. Before you begin, reflect with your co-teacher(s) on:

  • How will your team compile and organize student performance data on a daily and/or weekly basis in your co-taught classroom?
  • Who will be responsible for gathering and organizing progress data to help inform the next day's or week's instructional activities?
  • How often will your co-teaching team discuss which students are exceeding expectations, which students are on track, and which students need additional resources and support as you make instructional decisions?

Directions:
1) Open the Snapshot Data Tool How To Directions and the Sample Student Data.

2) Download and save the Snapshot Data Tool template to the computer.

3) Practice completing a Snapshot Data Tool using the How To directions and the sample Student Data. During the school year, Tables 1 and 2 of the Snapshot Data Tool are completed in advanced by the Data Manager. For this activity, work together to complete a Snapshot Data Tool based on the sample student performance data. Base your instructional decisions (Table 3) on the sample data.
