When teachers provide the right feedback to students, it can make a significant difference in their achievement. That said, as a teacher you might find yourself challenged to determine what students know, where they are getting stuck, and what feedback is right. Great teachers are able to select the best information to guide students to that ah-ha moment. For many children with learning needs, this is the part of the teaching-learning cycle that will turn their learning light on.

In this week’s resources you will study the steps to assess and provide feedback for students with academic differences. From informal to formal assessments, the observations you make and the data you gather will drive and, when necessary, change your instruction.
